Nextup: Holden – Circle of Fifths (Tool version)

Since his return to music earlier this year after a 7 year long hiatus, Holden has been pretty proactive, releasing an album on his label Border Community and supporting Thom Yorke’s project ‘Atoms for Peace.’ The ‘Tool’ version of his album track ‘Circle of Fifths’ is a disturbing mash of deep ARP noise and skittering percussion, creating a sound not unlike that of a schizophrenic’s thoughts. Indeed, the press release describes the sound as ‘ the lunatic gibbering of the mysterious Shimble’. I don’t know who Shimble is but ‘lunatic gibbering’ rings true with this.

Release date: 11.11.2013
