Nextup: Freshers predrinks playlist

A Freshers Special post: a Youtube playlist for predrinks (with no Youtube adverts) featuring tracks from Frankie Knuckles, R Kelly, Chris Malinchak and Cyril Hahn. It is up to you to add in your own Arctic Monkeys/Oasis/Rihanna songs and include the theme from Fresh Prince, always goes down a treat.

As a Fresher, first impressions count. It is only right that you make a good first impression with your new house mates. On your first ever freshers night, everyone is willing to see the best in these strangers whom you will be spending a hell of a lot of time with over the forthcoming year. One of the best ways to make a good first impression is through a banging pre-drinks playlist.

Whilst everyone is sat round playing Ring of Fire (a game which is so overplayed in your first year that in the rest of your time at uni if anyone ever suggests playing it, they are mentally lynched), the songs are crucial to a good atmosphere and to keep the game going. Link to the rules here. You want songs that people are going to recognise and equally ones that they might not know but will love on the first listen, because predrinks aren’t a time when everyone wants to be sitting around having in-depth discussions about music.

Find the list here.

Including:
Chris Malinchak – So Good to Me

Jamie Principle (prod. Frankie Knuckles) – Your Love

Bondax – Gold (Snakehips Bootleg)

Destiny’s Child – Say My Name (Cyril Hahn remix)

– Unfortunately, Youtube occasionally puts adverts in where there weren’t any before. Hopefully not with this list.
