It’s that heightened pitch on the ‘up’ which gets me. The whole song is great but it’s that tiny bit which gives the song feeling and induces the face screwing. The contrast between her deep, sexy vocals – which this remix makes excellent use of – is sublime. Cheeky lyrics too.
The vocalist has such a great range, showing the object of the song that she is fed up of being unappreciated. With a voice like that is is hard to see how she could be ignored. Funky percussion which hits the spot just right: hi hat going at just the right speed with a light 4/4 bass line and those essential synth chords in the background. This song will be awesome for mixes – the vocals are just too good to be ignored.
