Citizen’s output is constantly of the calibre that makes one sit up and take notice. At the moment he can do no wrong, producing hit after hit – from his mix of Adele’s ‘Rolling In The Deep’ through to his EP on LOFT Records earlier this year – Citizen always manages to haul up songs with *banger* potential.
This late nite jam is quality, showing his progression as an artist with its darker, mature feel. Haunted by ghostly arps, ultimate reverb which thrives across the song and a deep, roving bass line, it begs for a dance floor release. A Guy Called Gerald would applaud the drop which tantalisingly hovers over the edge, when it hits the resulting chords and bass line are the throwbacks to 90s progressive house which we have come to expect from Citizen – not a surprise but he has found his winning formula and it works.
