Throwback: Underground Resistance: Davina – Don’t You Want It

Another Underground Resistance goodie stemming from the legendary shores of Detroit. With Mad Mike laying the down the foundations built around warm synths and sweeping chord progressions, Davina steps in beautifully delivering a powerfully deep and evocative vocal display.

For me, more often than not, a great house tune needs that vocal – whether it be ‘Mookies Bio‘ or ‘NY Finest – Do You Feel Me’, they all possess that killer vocal that either carries a message or blends and complements the other instruments that surround it. ‘Don’t you want it’ is of that type, and is perhaps what’s missing from a lot of the house we hear in abundance today.

Release: 1992
