Throwback: Euro Funk – Dynomite

Beginning in the 1970’s the euro disco movement was certainly partial to its fair share of deep funky synths and cosmic melodies.  Incorporating elements of new wave and pop, euro disco music was an off shoot of the popular euro pop movements, which in turn gave birth to the beloved Eurovision Song Competition.

Before the genre got so poppy it did produce some absolute gems, Euro Funk was one of them.  Although they only produced 3 records in their short lifespan they are still remembered for their classic pop-funk sound.  ‘Dynomite is probably my favourite track of theirs; beep synthy bass melodies, classic Nile Rogers-esque guitar riff and simple  vocals mean this record will never lose its funk.
