As Barbara Tucker would say, warm weather has been ‘what’s missing in this world’ recently. A miraculous consecutive days of sunshine and blue skies has understandably brought out a summer time mentality in many of us, which has seen me drawing for some of that upbeat classic Chicago House. And for this it doesn’t come much better than the Mac rework of ‘Beautiful People’. Summer personified, ‘Beautiful People’s’ is a laid back groover offering all the best in what matters: a playful killer bassline, warm soothing piano melodies and an oh so catchy vocal provided by Tucker herself. Recognisable from Pearson Sounds remix of ‘Hardrive – Deep Inside‘, Tuckers vocals carry that perfect edge of soul and euphoria that will have your head boppin and shoulders shuffling all the way through summer.
