Zutekh presents Pearson Sound (all night long)

4 Sep | Soup Kitchen | £12.50

It’s been two years since the last time Pearson Sound made the trip up north to do an all-night set at the infamous basement. Last time, he requested all the lights off and the venue near pitch-black, a la most techno clubs in Berlin. Whilst we can’t say for sure if it’ll be the case this time around, whatever he provides – be it aesthetics or music-wise – will go down a storm. Let’s hope they’ve got the air conditioning on full blast as this is a hot ticket.

Natural Sciences presents Hidden Spheres + other Manchester Mutants

9 Sep | Aatma | £5

Natural Sciences has fast become one of the most respected newcomers in the city, in no small part due to their releases from worldwide producers such as Japanese house producer Aquarium / 外神田deepspace and Italian Antonio. But their second label night is a lot more local, featuring Manchester ‘mutants’ Space Afrika, Cerberus Future Technologies and Will Boyd from Boomkat. Their previous event featured Lobster Theremin boss, Jimmy Asquith, turning up completely spangled and being escorted out of his own gig whilst an audience member played on, has set a precedent for a night less ordinary…

Expect soulful house and funk of the Detroit flavour and a great venue to showcase these sounds in Soup Kitchen. In the words of Pittman, ‘If you don’t come to this…then f**k you.’

Hidden x So Flute x Dog Eat Dog presents Dan Shake, O’Flynn & Ruf Dug b2b Glowing Palms

24 Sep | Hidden | £5

Hidden have joined forces with So Flute and Dog Eat Dog to bring you a line up of immense quality, including Mahogani Music’s own Dan Shake. Shake has been lighting up parties across Europe, and if he has Moodymann’s approval then he has ours too. London’s rising star O’Flynn is also on the bill, and with his tunes being spun by the likes of Four Tet and Giles Peterson, anticipation is wild for what he has in store. If that isn’t enough to get you to the warehouse, there will also be Ruf Dug going back to back with Glowing Palms, a set not to be missed if you love grooving anthems and tropical weirdness. Elsewhere, So Flute’s usual gang of Danuka, Yadava and Baloo will be heading up with a variety of funk, disco and world music to keep the crowd shazamming and dancing all through the night.
